When Chase-Manhattan lender David Givens began to feel some of
the early symptoms of the flu - fatigue, muscle aches and pains
(not from exercise), and a slight fever - he had no reason to
expect he'd be, as he put it, "amazingly better within 2 days"
because of a flu home remedy.
Fortunately for him, one of his basketball-buddies, the author
of this article, is a Chinese medicine acupuncturist and
herbalist. When he called me about his symptoms, I recommended
he take a modern Chinese herbal ...

Most of us over the age of 30 have at some point in time
suffered from hemorrhoids. They are one of the most common
medical ailments suffered by both men and women. Generally 80%
of those who suffer with hemorrhoids are able to treat them with
over the counter preparations and a few lifestyle changes. For
others who suffer with external hemorrhoids surgery may be
needed.
Internal hemorrhoids are generally symptom free. The most common
symptom is blood seen covering the stool or on toilet paper. ...

Cardio is one of the big three in the game of changing your
body, the way I look at it there is diet, cardio and weights.
The diet is self explanatory, the cardio is to burn calories
before and after the cardio workout and weights are to create
more muscle which automatically needs more calories just to
maintain.
I will try in the future to add info on individual types of
cardio training but for now just want to outline how, when and
what kind of exercise counts. Firstly any time that you do ...

How would you like to eat all you want and still lose weight, or
maintain your trim figure?
Sounds impossible?
Have you seen those skinny young women who eat like horses, with
plate after plate of food at the buffet table without putting on
any weight?
Ok, so some of them may be bulimic. You know, the sort who eat
all they want, then go to the toilet to throw up everything they
just ate. Not only is that disgusting, it is very unhealthy.
That damages your body in the long run.
No, I'm ...

Ask most people of the challenges they face following through
with an exercise program and you're likely to hear the common
complaints: Lack of motivation, being too tired, not having
enough time, too busy. Or as someone recently told me, "My get
up and go has gotten up and gone".
But imagine having the unique challenge of not being able to,
literally, "get up and go". This is the unique challenge of the
more than 56 million disabled individuals in the U.S. alone,
many who are wheelchair ...
